P.E.A.R.L Program
Offered by: City of Mount Pearl
(Participation for Everyone in Active Recreation and Leisure)
The City of Mount believes that anyone should be able to participate in city-run recreation programs regardless of financial resources. If your financial circumstances make it difficult for you to pay the full fee for programs, you may qualify for a subsidy. Please note, this program is available for people of all ages.
Program Guidelines
- Is designed for residents of Mount Pearl.
- A reference must be provided from Community Leader (Example: Social Worker, Teacher, Clergy, Coach). A reference cannot be a family member or relative.
- One activity per person per season.

KidSport Funding
Offered by: KidSport Newfoundland & Labrador
KidSport Newfoundland & Labrador believes all kids have the right to play organized sports and provides funding for registration fees and equipment costs for kids aged 18 and under so they can play a season of sport. KidSport provides children with:
- The opportunity to enjoy a season of children’s sport programming;
- Healthy habits that will last their whole lives;
- Valuable life lessons and skills including leadership, practice, hard work, dedication, and self confidence;
- Access to mentorship and guidance from coaches.

Jumpstart Funding
Offered by: Canadian Tire
Founded in 2005, Jumpstart helps kids overcome financial and accessibility barriers to sport and recreation in an effort to provide inclusive play for kids of all abilities (ages 4 to 18).
