Notice to Residents: Community Centre Emergency Access Road

November 7th, 2024 (Mount Pearl, NL) – To support the new Community Centre at the Team Gushue Sports Complex, the City will construct an emergency access road linking the new facility to Emberley Place.

This secondary emergency route is required for enhanced safety and was recommended through a traffic analysis by Harborside Transportation Consultants. This access road will be intended for emergency use only, so it will not increase regular traffic on Emberley Place.

Construction will be managed to minimize impact on the greenspace, and access will be controlled with features such as a gate or breakaway bollards to prevent unauthorized use. Thank you for your understanding.
