Centennial Park Summer Concert Series
Mark your calendars for every Friday in July and August, and make your way to Centennial Park, conveniently located right next to the City Hall. We are thrilled to invite you to be a part of our free, family-friendly pop-up concert series!
Our stage will be graced by a roster of live local performers showcasing their talent from 12 pm to 1:30 pm. Each week will offer a unique musical experience or performance making it the perfect midday break for you and your family.
We encourage you to come prepared to enjoy the show in comfort. Feel free to bring a chair for seating, and your favourite snack to munch on, and don’t forget to invite some friends! It’s the perfect opportunity to relax, enjoy some great music, and soak up the summer atmosphere.

Artist: The Boogie Babes
Times: 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm
About the Artist: The Boogie Babes are a three-female a cappella group made up of Jody Lear, Claire Hewlett and Lesley Dove Smith, who also acts as the manager of the group. They met acting in a musical 14 years ago and have been singing as a group ever since. Their songs range from the 1930s all the way to current music, however, their specialty is 50’s and 60’s music. They also perform as carolers during the holidays, birthday parties, weddings, office parties, sporting events and more, but their most popular service is performing singing telegrams. They have sung all around the island but are very excited and pleased to be back home to sing for the summer season!

About the Artist: Take Two is a husband-and-wife duo that has always known music to be a huge part of their lives and their relationship. After meeting through their high school music program, Jon and Alyssa both graduated from the MUN School of Music and started careers in music education. As Take Two, Jon and Alyssa cover some of their favourite pop hits from the past 60 years, adding their own energetic and unique flare. Performing with a mix of instruments and styles, their upbeat and bubbly arrangements are sure to leave you with a smile on your face and a song stuck in your head!
