Focus on Youth Awards

The Focus on Youth Awards are designed to honour youth and adults who work with youth, who make outstanding contributions to the community in the areas of arts, sports, self-improvement, science and voluntarism. Nominees must be affiliated with Mount Pearl schools, organizations or sports teams. Youth group leaders, teachers and coaches are encouraged to nominate our City’s exceptional youth. Sixteen awards will be presented.

Citizen of the Year Award

The Citizen of the Year is officially named each year during Volunteer Week, by the Kinsmen Club of Mount Pearl, in partnership with the City. We encourage you to nominate an outstanding citizen in our community.

Pearl Awards for Urban Design, Garden or Green Lens Awards

The Pearl Awards are open to anyone who contributes to the Urban Design, Garden and Green Lens categories in Mount Pearl. You can read more about each category in our printable nomination form or submit a nomination online.

Projects must be located within Mount Pearl’s city limits; however, projects undertaken by the City or located on City property are not eligible. If you know of a project that is an outstanding example of urban / sustainable design or is a garden worthy of consideration for a Pearl Award, please complete a nomination form. An independent jury will evaluate the submissions.
